Message #9 of 17  *NEW* To :   ALL From :   goheels42@cox.net   Subject :   Off Day News Date :   4/28/06, 12:09pm The results from Brian Bannister's MRI cam back with good news for the Mets. He was listed with a catagory 1 strain, which is the least severe, and he now won't have to go on the DL. It looks like Darren Oliver will fill in Bannisers next schedule start, and then their hoping he's ready to go after that. Beltran will be evaluated tonight at Atlanta before the game, and determine his fate. If he's a go he'll obviousley play, but the word is he'll be DL bound retro to April 21st. Just a note Victor Diaz is on his way to Atlanta Friday morning, which to me tells what the Mets are thinking about Beltran. Message #10 of 17  *NEW* To :   goheels42@cox.net From :   goheels42@cox.net   Subject :   Bannister Placed On DL Date :   4/28/06, 1:43pm ???????I'm lost, the Mets placed Bannister on the DL today and added Victor Diaz. Yesterday the Mets said his hammy strian was mild, level 1 strain, now they put him on the DL? Maybe Beltran checked out ok today, we'll see in about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Any case, Bannister will miss his next 2 starts, so more than likely Victor will be sent back down early next week. • Previous Topic • Next Topic • Reply to Msg #10 • Start New Topic • Back to Topics 19032 reads This message has been added to these BGEEKS Blogs: goheels42@cox.net 's Blog

Message #11 of 17  *NEW* To :   goheels42@cox.net From :   Reedster   Subject :   Re: Bannister Placed On DL Date :   4/28/06, 1:53pm Someone at my office told me that this still doesn't open the door for Heilman, and I am wondering why? Any insight on that? • Previous Topic • Next Topic • Reply to Msg #11 • Start New Topic • Back to Topics 19030 reads

Message #12 of 17  *NEW* To :   Reedster From :   goheels42@cox.net   Subject :   Re: Bannister Placed On DL Date :   4/28/06, 6:39pm The Mets said leaving Florida this spring, once Bannister was named the 5 and Heilman designated for the pen, that they would not flip flop Heilman at the first sight of an injury, that it wasn't fair to him. I think Heilman should be the #4 let alone at the least the #5, but in any case, he is staying put in the pen. Lima, Jeremi Gonzalez or John Maine will most likely fill in the open spots for the time being,(until we get Zito in July) wishfull thinking. • Previous Topic • Next Topic • Reply to Msg #12 • Start New Topic • Back to Topics 19026 reads
